Join us on Saturday November 9th, 16th & 30th at the Lutz Mountain Heritage Museum for a series of three introductory rug hooking workshops. The workshops will run from 9:30 – 12:30.

November 9th – Introduction to Rug Hooking (demonstration by RHGNS instructor; display of different rug hooking styles; information sheet on rug hooking supplies)

November 16th – Rug Hooking with Different Fibres 

November 30th – Getting Started – Learning to Put a Pattern on Backing Fabric

There will be plenty of opportunity to try rug hooking at each of these introductory workshops. So if you cannot attend all three, you can still have a go! No equipment is required though there will be a starter pattern available for purchase. The workshops will be led by Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia instructor, Debbie Lessard, and other experienced rug hookers.

There is a cost of $5.00 per workshop (to cover tea & coffee and rental). Debbie Lessard is offering her expertise free of charge to encourage everyone to try this wonderful hobby! Depending on demand, Lutz Mountain Heritage Museum will host a regular Saturday rug hooking group in 2020.

Beginners and experienced rug hookers are welcome to attend.
