??Have you always wanted to learn how to sew, but never knew where to start? Look no further as the One Stitch at a Time Workshop is here to help! ??
The Lutz Mountain Heritage Museum is so excited to announce that we will be playing host to a 4-part sewing class to teach you all about the basics of sewing! No experience is necessary and the classes are suitable for all 12+. This course will cover the basics:
– How to thread the machine;
– How to fix minor issues;
– What tools and materials you will need (pins, threads, needles, chalk, rulers, etc);
– How to choose the right fabric for your project and MORE!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Bring your sewing machine with a manual (if possible), an extension cord (2-3 m long), and your sewing box (scissors, threads, needles, measuring tape, fabric marker, or chalk). Other tools and materials we will discuss during the first class.
COST
$46 per class or $164 for all 4 sessions. This must be paid in advance as spots are limited!

ITENERARY:
Week 1
Threading the machine, basic stitches, and troubleshooting.
Project – reversible coaster.
Week 2
Know your fabric – how to define the fiber, how to prepare for sewing.
Project – 3 kinds of hems.
Week 3
Pressing and cutting. Measuring.
Project – a purse with a zipper.
Week 4
Working with patterns. Various stitches.
Project – sleeping mask with an elastic band.
